Vietnam actively advertises itself in France International Tourism Fair

Click to see real sizeThe Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and six Vietnamese tourism businesses are showcasing their products at the International Tourism Fair 2008 in Paris, France, from March 13-17 with the participation of 2,000 tourism businesses from more than 300 nations and territories around the world.
The businesses include Vietravel, La Palanche, HAPRO Travel, MPV Tours, Bai Tho Tourist and national carrier Viet Nam Airlines.
It is part of the national tourism action programme aimed at introducing and promoting the images of the Vietnamese land and people, especially its great potential for tourism development, helping to attract more foreign tourists and investors to the country.
Displaying an area of 72m2, Vietnam displayed products imprinted with a national identity has left a strong impression on foreign visitors through the vivid images of the country’s beautiful landscapes such as the Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha Cave, Hue imperial city and Hoi An ancient town.
This annually event is one of the big fairs in the world with diverse activities including tourism seminars, artistic performances and cuisine arts.
France now stands in the top ten countries with largest numbers of visitors to Vietnam.
During the five-day fair, the organisation board is expected to attract more than 100,000 domestic and foreign visitors and around 15,000 businesses seeking opportunities in tourism industry.
By joining the fair, Vietnam hopes to effectively tap its tourism potential, helping to maintain and further boost the development of “non-polluting” industry after reaching a growth rate of 38 percent in 2007.
